The Dawn of the Internet Age

Internet was firstly created by the US Department of Defense's Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (APRANET) in 1969. It served as a tool of communication between the top defence and the civilian branches of the US, against the Soviet Union in case of nuclear attack. At the beginning, the APRANET was divided into two sections: the civilian and the military one. After this, it become more developed in the sense of features and the user interface by the British. In fact, each user could have access to its own page in the web with a unique IP address or URL; http which is used to transfer audios or video files. In addition to the html which is used to insert the links from a document to another (Berners-Lee and Fischetti, 1999).
In the past, it took 40 years for radio to reach the targeted audiences of 50 people; the television also needed 15 years in order to reach the same number of audience. In the other hand, it took only three years to the internet its 50 million people. In addition to that, the growth of the internet was very huge  and remarkable in the sense that billion of pages were created. At the end of the 1990's, the Internet traffic was increasing by 1000% per year. Thing which boosted the economic growth; in addition to the speed of Global communication from which the companies beneficiated to promote and to transfert their products thanks to the e-commerce trade which was born.
Internet represent a huge impact in today's life and communication. Thanks to such development, we are now able to get any information that we want. In addition to the fact that we are living in a more globalized world, in which we can access to any kind of information; from any kind of topic. However, such revolution is creating the disappearance of books and old materiel used to get information through deep research and understanding of the matter. People tend to prefer the easier access to information and again, this situation can be double-edged because the old communication materials are also necessary to deepen our knowledge and understanding.
